At Greenline Yachts, every model comes with solar panels and AC power onboard as standard, ensuring you have renewable energy while on board. For even more power, some Greenline models offer an upgrade with additional solar panels on the T-top. ☀️⚡️

So, how does it all work? The solar power systems consist of solar panels, batteries, charge controllers and inverters. Solar panels on Greenline yachts are made of Photovoltaic cells, which use sunlight to knock electrons loose, generating electricity. The panels are constantly creating energy and feeding the domestic battery bank. As a result, the solar panels can supply continuous power to onboard main devices such as the refrigerator, air conditioning and entertainment systems, removing the need for a generator or shore power.

🔋 Serial vs. Parallel Hybrid: What's the Difference? ⚡️

A full electric yacht runs solely on battery power - silent, emission-free, and perfect for lakes and eco-sensitive areas. But once the battery is depleted, it must be recharged.

A serial hybrid adds a diesel generator, which only charges the batteries to extend range. The yacht is still powered by electric motors, but it's no longer a "full electric" setup.
