Como guía local, veo esto muchas veces: personas que vienen unas horas, ven el castillo, hacen una foto, toman un café… y piensan que ya han conocido Ljubljana.

Pero sinceramente, esta ciudad merece más.

Ljubljana no es solo una ciudad para “ver”. Es una ciudad para vivir.

Sus historias, sus rincones escondidos, la vida local, pequeños detalles que muchas veces pasan desapercibidos ❤️

🚗 Do you need a car in Ljubljana?

As a licensed tourist guide, this is one of the questions visitors ask me all the time.

And honestly?

For Ljubljana itself… you really don’t need one.

The city center is small, walkable, and easy to explore. You can walk, rent a bike, use an electric scooter, or simply hop on a bus 🚶‍♀️🚲🛴🚌

One of my favorite things about Ljubljana is that sometimes, while simply walking through the city, you suddenly get views like this… snowy mountains in May 🏔️✨

My local advice:

✅ Stay car-free in Ljubljana
✅ Rent a car if you want to explore Slovenia beyond the capital

Bled, Alpine valleys, wine regions, hidden countryside corners… that’s where having a car becomes a great idea.
