The world of legends 🧙 The devil's bridge

Once upon a time, it was decided to build a bridge to connect the two sides of the river 💦

The strongest men from the village were appointed to build the structure. They diligently built the bridge. But one morning they returned to the place and found that the structure was destroyed! 😱

"I am not building it anymore!" Shouted one of the builders. "The devil himself can build it. But I won't!" 😡

The devil was waiting for that. He appeared beside the rubble, and with a snap of his fingers, fixed the bridge 😈

"Now I want a payment" triumphantly said the devil. "I will take to hell the soul of the first being to cross this bridge." He said this and disappeared 💀

The men were terrified. After all, no one wanted to spend eternity in hell or put their family or a random passer-by in such danger 😱

Fortunately, there was a well-known local joker among them. The clever builder decided to let the dog go over the bridge first. He threw the bone to the other side, and the animal ran after it 🐕‍🦺

In this way, the devil got his soul. When he saw that instead of a human sacrifice, he had an animal - he swore revenge 😈

Crossing the bridge, watch out for the devil! His revenge may affect you. The devil is still patiently waiting for the right moment 😱

The first record of mining in the Julian Alps is from 800 BC! That was an Iron Age 😊

In 800 BC and antiquity, the most important iron industry center was Bohinj ⚒

Mining was one of the main activities of the people living at the foot of the Alps 🌄

The world of legends 🧙 the Mostnica waterfall

A long, long time ago, God created a small river at the foot of Triglav - the Malo polje 💦

The river ran through flowery meadows. It sparkled in the sunshine and was a diamond of the valley 🏞

Numerous animals came to the river bank to drink from it. They told the Malo polje that it was delicious. And the mountains would lean over the river and say that it was beautiful 🦊

Hearing so many compliments, the Malo polje changed from a nice, peaceful stream to a prideful, aggressive river 🌊

Seeing this, God decided to cleanse the river of its pride. He ordered the Malo polje to flow underground. The soil cleaned it of negative feelings. The innocent and cheerful river flows back to Earth as the Mostnica waterfall 💦

When visiting the waterfall, think about this legend. And remember - don't be prideful! Because you will end up like the Malo polje 🏞
