Unpaid review: Restavracija AS

I can honestly say that AS restaurant is in my top 3 favourite restaurants in Ljubljana. Been there so many times and it has never disappointed. The perfect place when you expect high level of food and service, because it’s exactly what you get there. Absolutely love the way they prepare beef tartar in front of you.

Save the place for romantic dates, special occasions and businesses lunches when you want to impress your guests.

Unpaid review: ✨

It’s the place if you like casual fine dining and fine ambiance. Aesthetically pleasing and with good service, was a perfect choice for restaurant week. The only drawback for me was the uncooked meat which I was really looking forward to. I was under the impression, guests should be asked how they like their meat served.

The restaurant is great for a special occasion, for a date or if you want to impress someone. Special note to the wine list, it was always good since the start. Would like to come here one day to try things from the menu, as the last I visited was when they just opened a while back.

Unpaid review: Julijana Restaurant in Bled ✨

Amazing views, great ambiance, professional service and all the attributes of how fine dining should be. I left my comments about the food when you swipe through photos, in short: the food was exceptionally delicious. 😋

I would suggest you definitely book before you go, as there are only few tables. The restaurant is closed off season (it was open now during restaurant week), but will be re-open from May onwards. It’s a great place to impress someone or for a very special occasion. Let me know if you have already been there ✨⬇️

Here is an idea of what to do in Ljubljana (especially on the weekend when everything is closed 🥹): visit this great exhibition of ancient finds from all over Slovenia - “Tweets from the past”.

Did you guys know that Slovenia prides on some very ancient finds that shape ancient history? Like for example, the most unbelievable flute of Neanderthals dating back over 50,000 years? Or the oldest wheel ever found in the world? This exhibition is collaboration between many historical museums across Slovenia showing the most unbelievable finds. I really enjoyed it! Best part was also how there were so many activities and games planned for kids - thank you and many others.

I have heard so many times about this place and always wondered how good it must be as the locals are always flocking to that restaurant. Well, now I have finally visited and can confirm: Pri Žabarju is an amazing place if you want to have hearty Slovenian meal in very traditional ambiance. Everything was great: service, portions, taste, ambiance and above all - very reasonable prices. As it’s not located in the center, tourists don’t usually go there. So it’s a true hidden gem. Fun fact, that literally the name of the restaurant is translated as “at the Frogsman’s”- so, of course, frog’s legs are their speciality. Did you know they call Ljubljana people frogs, because most of ljubljana is located on a swamp? Save this place if you want to experience a really traditional meal in Ljubljana.

Any lovers of frog’s legs here? I always go for them if I see them on a menu 🥹😋

I came here as so many of you recommended this spot for breakfast/brunch in Celje and now I know why! Great menu with so much choice, attentive service, nice ambiance and tasty food. Of course it’s hard to judge when trying only two things from menu, but the amount of people inside the restaurant kind of gives you a feeling the chef is doing a good job! Unpaid review:

Everything was excellent. Heartily recommend for a business lunch, romantic date or just a stop over for a dessert and coffee. Convenient location just off highway from A1 on Ljubljana southern ring. Save it for a time when you don’t want to hit center but still want elegant food, good service and beautiful ambiance.
