Since launching in 2000 with a team of just two, Intours DMC has grown into an Adriatic regional destination management company specialist, delivering tailor-made incentive, conference, car launch and special events programs from Slovenia down to Montenegro. On World Bee Day, we celebrate the connection between nature and Slovenian design. 🐝
Jože Plečnik, one of Slovenia’s greatest architects, was also a passionate beekeeper. Inspired by the perfect geometry of honeycombs, symbols of harmony, balance, and efficiency, he reflected these natural patterns in his architectural vision through symmetry and rhythm.
Around 1935, he designed his own beehive structure in the garden of his home in Trnovo, bringing together architecture, tradition, and the art of beekeeping in one timeless creation. 🍯

One of them is Ivan Vučetić from Hvar, whose pioneering work in fingerprint identification became the foundation of modern forensic science used worldwide today. His legacy can also be discovered through the dedicated museum collection in his hometown.
