Maribor je ugnezden ob reki Dravi v objemu zelenih gozdov Pohorja in slikovitih vinorodnih gričev. Zavod za turizem Maribor deluje kot lokalna turistična organizacija za:
- izvajanje javne službe pospeševanja turizma,
- oblikovanja celovite turistične ponudbe,

spodbujanje razvoja turistične infrastrukture,
- promocije celovite turistične ponudbe in
- informiranje obiskovalcev. Maribor is wonderfully nestled in the embrace of the green Pohorje Mountains on one side and the picturesque wine-growing hills on the other. The city is located by the Drava River and in its centre grows the oldest – over 450 years old – vine in the world. Maribor Tourist Board has work as a a local tourist organization for:
- the performance of a commercial public service for the tourism promotion,
- the establishment of coherent tourist offer,
- encouraging the development of tourist infrastructure,
- the promotion of coherent tourist offer and
- providing information for visitors. Maribor, so wunderschön in die sattgrünen Wälder des Pohorje-Gebirges einerseits und andererseits in die malerischen Weinberge eingebettet ist, mit dem Fluss Drau, entlang dem mitten in der Stadt die älteste (über 450 Jahre) Rebe weltweit wächst. Maribor Tourismus ist lokale touristische Organisation mit Aufgaben:
- Förderung der Tourismusentwicklung
- Gestaltung und Förderung des ganzheitlichen touristischen Angebotes
- Unterstützung bei der Entwicklung der touristischen Infrastruktur
- Besucher Auskunft.

S svojo izjemno umetniško močjo, človeško toplino in nepozabnimi vlogami je zaznamovala slovensko gledališče ter navdihnila generacije ustvarjalk, ustvarjalcev in občinstva. Njena zapuščina bo ostala trajen del zgodovine slovenskega gledališča.
