Defense of their offspring




Two mother bears with four cubs faced off against a large adult male. In the wild, male bears can be a serious threat to cubs, so the mothers didn't hesitate to defend their young. As the confrontation unfolded, the cubs quickly climbed the nearest trees, where they remained safely out of reach while their mothers stood their ground.
