Quite some time since my previous polar bear "encounter", but luckily, yesterday, I got to see a female with a COY (cub of the year) on my day trip with MS Billefjord to Billefjorden The world's northernmost fjord-cruise - Henningsen, Svalbard
A lot of symbolic in this picture with these 2 bears stranded, feeding on a reindeer with a retreating glacier in background. Might be difficult to spot the reindeer antlers on a small skjerm but on a computer, it´s possible to see that these antlers are wel developped and belong to a buck in his prime
Polar bears should feed on seals but it´s more and more common to see them catch reindeers.
800 mm (400 mm +2x) and some crop but nothing to complain about with such a nice background and we must get used to 300-500 m distance 🙄
