Legend says it does. 💚

Hidden among the peaks of the High Tatras, Štrbské Pleso is more than one of Slovakia's most beautiful mountain lakes. According to local folklore, a mysterious water sprite lived in its crystal-clear waters, protecting the lake and the surrounding nature. 🌲

It is said that he rewarded those who respected the mountains... and punished those who didn't. ✨

Today, a wooden statue of the water sprite stands on the lakeshore, keeping this local legend alive and reminding visitors that the High Tatras are not only a place of breathtaking views but also a land of fascinating stories.
