Did you know, that in Bratislava was crowned Maria Theresa as an Hungarian King at St. Martin’s cathedral? Maria Theresa often pay visit Bratislava, because at Bratislava castle used to live her sweetheart, daughter Maria Cristina. Her husband was Albert from Teshin who started his collection of arts in Bratislava, now you can find it at famous Albertina museum in Vienna named after him.

St. Joh of Nepomuk, one of the saints with the most statues in Slovakia together with St. Florian. Was a saint of Bohemia who waw drowned in the Vltava rover at the behest of King Wenceslau 4. Later accounts state that he was the confessor of the queen and refused to reveal the confession secret to the king. Because of the manner of his death, he is a protector from floods and drowning a patron of the bridges. This particular photo is taken at St Michaels bridge in Bratislava
