RAJEC TRAVEL is a family owned tour company based at Poprad - Slovakia, at the foot of the High Tatras. at a time when the socialist era ended but Czechoslovakia still existed. The founders spent their professional life in the High Tatras mountains working in in tourism, mountain huts, mountain rescue service or as mountain guides, so decision to start doing tours on our own just made sense. We li

ve in Slovakia and we know it very well. That’s why we have picked up the nicest spots in Slovakia for our tours.

The highest mountain passes and traverses through the northern valleys are gradually becoming snow-free, opening up some of the most spectacular hiking routes in the range.

Hiking in the Low Tatras – Chopok (2,024 m), the second-highest peak of the range.

1,000 vertical meters.

Clouds, sunshine, snow pellets and temperatures just above freezing.

The Low Tatras ridge spent most of the day playing hide-and-seek in the clouds.

Meanwhile, spring quietly carried on below – Soldanella and alpine primroses in bloom everywhere.

A good mountain day.
