Youth Leading sustainable Action!

We were proud to have participated in the Youth Adaptation and SDGs Leadership Conference organized by Global Youth Counterparts for Sustainable Development. It was a powerful platform bringing young leaders together to drive solutions for climate change and sustainable development.

For two impactful days, we:
-Engaged in climate and SDG discussions.
-Explored youth-led innovations.
-Learned about REDD+ and sustainability.
-Connected with inspiring young leaders.

One key message stood out:
💡 Youth are not just the future, we are the present leaders of change.

Earlier today, stakeholders across government, academia, and the creative sector gathered at Fourah Bay College to commemorate Global Tourism Resilience Day 2026.

Under the theme “Tourism Resilience in Action: From Crisis Response to Impactful Transformation,” the event highlighted practical strategies for strengthening Sierra Leone’s tourism industry against global shocks, climate risks, and emerging challenges.

Through keynote presentations, expert panel discussions, youth and policy debates, and interactive sessions, participants explored innovative approaches to crisis preparedness, sustainable growth, and long-term sector transformation.

The commemoration reaffirmed a shared commitment to building a more resilient, competitive, and sustainable tourism industry for Sierra Leone and beyond.
