Yep. But you don't have to BE in a 3rd world country... I advise people to choose developed/developing countries like Senegal so you can also PARTICIPATE IN THE ECONOMIC BOOM...if you live around a bunch of poor people you will end up feeling guilty and broke! Live in places where the people have MORE MONEY than you. That way, when you build your own enterprise, no matter what it will be, you have folks around that can AFFORD to buy your products and the selection of educated and business minded people to partner with is wider.
A really smart poor person who is desperate to feed their families will beat you out of thousands if not MILLIONS of dollars and they never went to school.
Ask Jeff Bezos... them white (and black) South Africans stuck him for $40 million trying to put an Amazon fulfillment center over there. Got him good. He thought he was the smartest man in the world too, just like Elon. NOPE.
These folks in Africa are the ORIGINAL HUMANS MADE BY GOD how the hell your ancestral memories go back further than theirs?
Be around and live around folks you can LEARN FROM & INVEST 50/50 with. If they have nothing to bring to the table, find another restaurant. I don't know who dude is, but I'm hopeful he found his his happy place Iike I found mine in Senegal.
It's not hard, but you gotta leave America with an open mind to do it.

I just love this painting... it's the Turkish father of a relation to my grandson. He is so regal and impressive. I would have loved to meet him. By his attire I am guessing an Ottoman but origin Berber?

This is a fish shop not too far from my neighborhood.

The other photos were taken when we went to the mall. I never saw black owned pet stores or aquarium shops until I moved to Senegal... think about that.

In fact, my son Jonathan was the same age as baby Sineta (his son is named after me!) when we went to this SAME SHOP and bought our first fish aquarium.

At the time, the store had big fish, OSCARS, stuff like that, UNDER THE FLOOR... just like in Austin Powers! It looked like a movie with purple lights! 💜

I still remember it today!

They don't have the fish under the floor anymore but they still have the shop and I was happy to repeat the SenegalStyle cycle with HIS SON at the same age as he was, when we first moved here! (7yrs old!)
