Alright... Magicland 😒... Ok since one of the main reasons this trip happened was to help prepare for our planned excursion there AND being that I'm a huge Disney Fan and that I do want any student that travels with us to have as much fun as possible I had to see Magicland in person. I didn't want to go, because I don't care too much for traveling fairs (that's what it reminded me of), but I did want to see it and check out the rooms. Yes there's a hotel attached. Well..... Magicland was not that magical... I'm Disney spoiled I guess. Our tour guide assured us it was much better at night, but it was still a hard pass for me... UNTIL I showed the pics to my littles and they got excited!!! "It's pretty cool looking!!!" said both Amyr and Asiyah in two separate settings!!! So I guess it stays on the itinerary... Still don't know about them rooms though 😒

Goree Island... Emotional rollercoaster is a serious understatement... I won't rant here, but I feel like this place is really taken for granted...

Lac Rose / Lake Retba / The Pink Lake !! OMG!!! The lake was really pink! Yup it's pink!!! And apparently we came on one of the best days. It was absolutely beautiful!!!! And check out the heart shaped cloud. 💗💗💗 This place did not disappoint.

What I so loved?? Was how almost every where we looked somebody, some group, or something was working out!!! We ran into this group on the walk down from the Monument... On our later walks we found several "workout playgrounds" that people were making good use of... Most of them right along the coast...

African Renaissance Monument... Was all that... I was so excited to see it... Even more excited driving around Dakar or just being places with a view of it... Now that was huge... To be riding around Dakar and being able to just look up and see it in all its glory. I love it, no matter where it came from, who made it, why, when, or whatever. To me it speaks volumes just to be able to look up and see this grand monument touching the sky.

Lunch by the sea... This place was amazing... The artwork embellishing the building was all done by the owner. And the food??? Just no words... That's probably why I forgot to get pictures...
