De Free City Walk van vandaag was weer geslaagd! Samen met onze gasten hebben we Paramaribo verkend en de stad op een bijzondere manier beleefd.🌿

Tijdens onze wandeling bezoeken we onder andere de lokale markten, bekende standbeelden en historische monumenten. Onderweg ontdekken we de mooiste plekjes en delen we interessante verhalen over de geschiedenis en cultuur van onze hoofdstad.

👀 WIST JE DAT?
Dit oude gebouw naast Fort Zeelandia lijkt misschien gewoon een verlaten gebouw…
Maar wist je dat Gebouw 1790 oorspronkelijk werd gebouwd als magazijn voor levensmiddelen?
Een bijzonder detail aan het gebouw is de manier waarop het werd ontworpen: dankzij de ligging en openingen kon de zeewind vanaf de rivier voor natuurlijke ventilatie zorgen.

A wonderful and educational day with the students from St. Ignatius School!✨

We look back on an incredibly fun and special Free City Walk with the 8th-grade students from St. Ignatius School. During the walk, the students explored downtown Paramaribo, our history, and the hidden stories behind special places in the city in an interactive way.
It was wonderful to see their enthusiasm, curiosity, and interest. Thank you to the students and chaperones from St. Ignatius School for your friendliness and participation! 🙌
