4th Global Tourism Resilience Day
February 16th – 18th, 2026
As the global tourism community convenes in Nairobi for the 4th Global Tourism Resilience Day, Conference and Expo (GTRDCE) under the theme “Tourism Resilience in Action: From Crisis Response to Impactful Transformation,” Nomad Safaris South Sudan proudly stands in solidarity with this critical platform advancing resilience, sustainability, and crisis preparedness within the tourism sector.
Although we are unable to participate physically at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre this year, we join the conversations virtually and in principle — affirming that tourism resilience is no longer optional; it is foundational.
From the vast wetlands of the Sudd to the powerful currents of the White Nile and the unmatched wildlife corridors of South Sudan, our country represents one of Africa’s last authentic frontiers.
We believe that:
• Sustainable tourism must be community centered.
• Conservation must be economically empowering.
• Crisis preparedness must be embedded within tourism planning.
• Regional collaboration is essential for Africa’s tourism future.
South Sudan’s tourism sector is emerging, and resilience is not merely a response mechanism for us — it is the architecture upon which we are building.
We commend the organizers and global tourism leaders gathered in Nairobi for advancing dialogue that strengthens our industry against climate shocks, political instability, economic disruptions, and global health crises.
Nomad Safaris South Sudan remains committed to:
• Responsible eco-tourism development
• Community-based tourism models
• Wildlife conservation partnerships
• Regional cooperation across East Africa
We look forward to deeper engagement, knowledge exchange, and collaborative pathways that position Africa not just as a destination — but as a leader in resilient tourism innovation.
