It’s jellyfish season again here in Palawan! 🪼🌊
If you're heading to the beach, be extra careful while swimming. Jellyfish stings can be painful — but don’t worry, we’ve got you covered!
Here’s what to do if you get stung:
1. Get out of the water right away to avoid more stings.
2. Do NOT rub the affected area — it can make it worse.
3. Rinse with vinegar (acetic acid) — it helps neutralize the venom.
4. If vinegar isn’t available, use salt water (never fresh water).
5. Carefully remove any tentacles using tweezers or the edge of a card.
6. Soak the area in hot water (not scalding) for 20–45 minutes to relieve pain.
7. If symptoms persist or worsen, seek medical attention immediately.
