Yeah, thatā€™s a hard pass for me! Iā€™m 5ā€™9ā€, so no way. Heading to Portugal this year and going premium the entire way and maybe moving up to a pod. These long legs canā€™t take it.

šŸŽ…šŸŽ„Should you be starting to finalize and locking in those travel plans for the holidays...YES! I know itā€™s Marchā€¦.but hereā€™s why....

1. Better pricing for one. The earlier you book your trips, the better the pricing is usually. Christmas time is one of the busiest times of year for travel...and the travel industry knows it and will increase their prices because of it. As their flights/accommodations start to fill up, they start increasing the prices because they know people will pay the higher price to secure their bookings.

2. Wider Selection. If you wait until it gets closer to the holidays and start trying to find that perfect all inclusive resort with an ocean view, it could be gone and youā€™re left with a resort view...at what the ocean view room price was just a few months ago.

3. Availability. Cruises fill up FAST for the holidays, especially Disney cruises, so if youā€™re wanting to plan a cruise over the holidays, I would start looking now because some cruises will be sold out if you wait. The same can be said for those beautiful resorts you have your eyes set on or specific hotels in Europe that you dream of staying at over the holidays.

Sooooo, I need to tell yā€™all something... I do not care about random reviews about a vacation destination or hotel. I do READ them...but I donā€™t necessarily believe anything that Sally Sue says who hates sand so she went to the beach, and was shocked it was sandy.

What I do worry about... I care about are patterns with hotel brands, location issues, noise complaints, service consistency, and whether a place works for your priorities. Did you know I actually have a particular resort brand I refuse to sell to clients....thatā€™s how bad that brand has been, and until they can get their act together, I will never offer any of their locations to clients. BUT, if you go read their reviews for some of their properties, they sound alright so people book them...but end up coming home very disappointed and upset they wasted their vacation funds on a worthless trip.

There is SO much more to a review and because most people arenā€™t QUALIFIED correctly and trusted their Aunt Bettyā€™s bestie who traveled 10 years ago to help them choose a hotel... of course their experience is going to suck. You all need a travel advisor and not just because I am a travel advisor.... but because if youā€™re working with someone who KNOWS a destination PLUS understands how to read a review, youā€™ll be having the BEST vacations of your life. Thatā€™s what Iā€™m trying to do here... and thatā€™s why I specialize in cruises, all inclusives, Europe and Disney. Yes....not all cruise ships AND cruise lines are created equal. Yes....there are properties at Disney I donā€™t recommend.
