Most people don't realize that it's possible to do immigration / customs at Trat Airport (TDX), when flying through Suvarnabhumi airport (BKK) with a partner airline of Bangkok Airways. One catch though: you will need to have both flights issued on a single ticket!!

500 baht fine for feeding monkeys on Koh Chang. Excellent idea because not only do they get killed or hurt by traffic, they are also becoming a menace in and around the resorts with their preference for kid's toys and bright colored bathing suits..

Looking for indicators that a Van is safe and properly insured? You can start by checking if it has one of these card readers which require drivers to run their public drivers license through it, before every journey! While not every minibus may have had time to get one installed yet, these are now mandatory by law and no car will make it through their 6 monthly inspection without one. Starting any time now, the police will pull over any yellow plate van that does not display a sticker as below..
