Lombok wasn’t what we expected.

It’s often overshadowed by Bali and the Gili Islands — but after spending time diving around Kuta Lombok, we realised it offers something quite different.

Less crowds. A slower pace. And underwater, some surprisingly healthy reefs and interesting dive sites.

That said — it’s not a destination you can approach blindly.

Conditions, seasonality, and expectations play a big role in the experience.
