A peaceful morning in Chiang Mai

Early this morning, many local people gathered to offer alms in front of Wat Phra Singh.
The cool weather and calm atmosphere made the morning feel simple, peaceful, and very special.

Every Sunday morning, visitors can join this almsgiving activity and experience a beautiful local tradition of Chiang Mai.

“Inthakhin Flower Offering Festival 2026” A Sacred Chiang Mai Lanna Tradition.

Only once a year, Chiang Mai celebrates the beautiful Lanna tradition of paying respect to the “Inthakhin Pillar” or the city pillar of Chiang Mai, believed to bring prosperity peace and blessings to the city and its people.

📍 13 – 19 May 2026
Closing ceremony on 20 May 2026
at Wat Chedi Luang

🌼 On 13 May, a traditional parade procession will take place into Chiang Mai city, and visitors can also join the sacred water pouring ceremony throughout the festival.

🙏 “12 Khan Dok Offerings” is a traditional Lanna belief where 12 floral offering trays are prepared to bring good fortune abundance and harmony to life and the community.

💐 Each offering tray includes flowers incense candles and traditional offerings. Visitors can purchase flower sets nearby to join this meaningful local tradition.

We warmly invite everyone to wear Thai or traditional Lanna clothing and be part of this beautiful cultural celebration in Chiang Mai ✨
