🚨🔥 GATWICK AIRPORT PARKING UPDATE 🔥🚨

If you’re currently on holiday and left your car with an airport parking provider near Gatwick Airport, this is worth checking.

A major fire broke out at Caldyne Business Park in Rowfant, near Crawley, on Saturday evening. The site is used by businesses including holiday parking operators serving Gatwick Airport. (Currently⁠)

🚗 Around 140 vehicles are reported to have been destroyed

🚒 8 fire engines and water carriers attended the fire

⚡ More than 2,000 homes temporarily lost power while electricity was isolated for safety

👮 A 67 year old man was arrested on suspicion of arson and has since been bailed while enquiries continue.

Thankfully, no casualties have been reported. (Currently⁠)

✈️ ARE YOU CURRENTLY AWAY?

If you flew from Gatwick and used an off site holiday parking company, particularly one operating around the Rowfant or Crawley area, I would recommend contacting your parking operator directly to check whether your vehicle or booking has been affected. This is also the advice being given by West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service. (Currently⁠)

Please don’t panic if you have a car parked near Gatwick. This does not mean all Gatwick Airport parking has been affected. The fire happened at a business park near the airport rather than at Gatwick Airport itself.

🏰 BIG CHANGES ARE COMING TO DISNEYLAND PARIS MEAL PLANS

Planning a Disneyland Paris holiday for 2027 or 2028? From 1 April 2027, the Disneyland Paris Meal Plans are changing, and there’s one big difference I think could make planning your Disney days much more flexible.

Instead of the current meal plan structure, there will be 4 new Disneyland Paris Meal Plan levels:

🍴 ESSENTIAL
Access to 18 eligible restaurants

🍴 EXTRA
Access to 25 eligible restaurants

🍴 SIGNATURE
Access to 30 eligible restaurants

👑 ROYAL
Access to 34 eligible restaurants, including Character Dining options

🍽️ SO WHAT’S ACTUALLY CHANGING?

Rather than simply choosing Half Board or Full Board with breakfast automatically included, the new system allows you to tailor your Disneyland Paris dining plan much more around how you actually want to spend your holiday.

You’ll be able to choose:

☕ Whether you want breakfast
🍽️ 1 meal per day for lunch or dinner, or 2 meals per day for lunch and dinner
⭐ Your level of dining experience and restaurant choice

🥐 Personally, I think the breakfast change could be really useful.

If you’re staying at a Disney Hotel and want to make the most of Extra Magic Time, do you really want to spend that precious quieter time sitting down for breakfast?

Rather than paying for a set Disneyland Paris dining package, you can choose something that better suits how your family eats, your budget and how you plan to spend your time in the parks.

👧 Children’s meal plans are priced at 50% of the adult price.

👶 There is no meal plan for children under 3. They can share from a parent’s meal or food can be purchased separately.

Don’t automatically assume you need breakfast or the highest meal plan available. Think about how you actually want to spend your Disney days, which restaurants are on your wish list and whether you’ll make the most of the meals you’re paying for.
