This day honours Nai Khanom Tom, the father of Muay Thai, who on March 17, 1774, demonstrated his remarkable Muay Thai skills; fighting before King Mangra of Burma, he defeated 10 Burmese fighters consecutively.

His victories made Thai martial arts famous worldwide. 👊

ITB2025 ที่เบอร์ลิน ประสบความสำเร็จอย่างมากมาย

การเดินทางครั้งนี้ไม่เพียงแค่สำเร็จตามวัตถุประสงค์ทุกประการ แต่ยังเปิดโอกาสให้เราผลักดันงานด้านการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อคนทั้งมวลไปสู่ระดับผู้บริหารที่เป็นผู้ออกนโยบายด้านการท่องเที่ยว

ขอขอบคุณทุกท่านและทุกหน่วยงานที่มีส่วนร่วมในการสนับสนุน ทำให้ทีมงานได้มีโอกาสพบกับนายกรัฐมนตรี รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา ผู้ว่าการการท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย Thapanee Kiatphaibool อธิบดีกรมการท่องเที่ยว Yoong Jaturon และหน่วยงานที่สนับสนุนผ่านงานวิจัยมาโดยตลอด ได้แก่ ท่านอาจารย์ ผศ.สุภาวดี โพธิยะราช ผู้เชี่ยวชาญอาวุโส สกสว. Supawadee Photiyarach และกูรูด้านการตลาดที่มีส่วนผลักดันการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อคนทั้งมวล ได้แก่ ท่านอาจารย์ ผศ.ดร.เอกก์ ภทรธนกุล Jake Pattaratanakun

ไฮไลท์ของการเดินทางครั้งนี้คือการสร้างเครือข่ายด้านการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อคนทั้งมวลในทวีปอเมริกา และยังได้สานต่อความสัมพันธ์กับพันธมิตรเก่าที่ทำงานกันมากว่า 7 ปีอย่างเครือข่ายการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อคนทั้งมวลในทวีปยุโรป ซึ่งทำให้เราได้พบช่องทางในการประชาสัมพันธ์และการตลาดสู่ตลาดนักท่องเที่ยวศักยภาพสูง (High spending)

ก้าวต่อไปคือการพัฒนามาตรฐานด้านบุคลากรที่เกี่ยวข้องในการท่องเที่ยวเพื่อคนทั้งมวล และพัฒนาสถานที่และแหล่งท่องเที่ยวให้สามารถรองรับและเข้าถึงได้สำหรับคนทุกคน ไม่ว่าจะอยู่ในสภาพร่างกายหรือมีความต้องการพิเศษอย่างไร
มาร่วมกันเป็นเจ้าบ้านที่ดี ทำให้ประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศ ที่ทุกคนรู้สึกได้รับการต้อนรับเป็นอย่างดี

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟵: 𝗗𝗲𝘂𝘁𝘀𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗲𝘂𝗺

We visited the Deutsches Museum, the world's largest science and technology museum, with over 28,000 exhibits from 50 fields. The aviation engineering section, showcasing from past to present, was a favourite, offering interactive displays and accessibility features for all visitors.

Craving Asian food after many days away, we enjoyed a delicious meal at Mandarin near Marienplatz.

This trip to Germany has been most fulfilling, combining business meetings, especially promoting "𝙄𝙣𝙘𝙡𝙪𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙪𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙢" at ITB2025, with Bavarian experiences in Munich.

Learning never ends—looking forward to more adventures in this amazing country.

We had an amazing experience spending a sunny Sunday like the locals in the Englischer Garten. Today's highlight was having lunch at the oldest and most famous brewery in Munich, Hofbräuhaus München. This historic brewery, established in the 16th century, is located in the heart of Marienplatz. The stunning architecture and interior decorations are amazing.

In addition to the delicious food, the servers were dressed in traditional German costume and live the Bavarian music throughout the day added to the authentic atmosphere of the experience. It’s not just about filling your stomach; it’s about enjoying the whole true German dining experience.

We took a break to explore Munich's main highlights.

🏰 𝙈𝙪𝙣𝙞𝙘𝙝 𝙍𝙚𝙨𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙯
This grand old palace, rich in history and beauty, left us in awe with its stunning architecture and fascinating museums.

🍗🥨 𝙑𝙞𝙠𝙩𝙪𝙖𝙡𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙢𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙩
After the palace visit, we headed to Viktualienmarkt. The sunny weather brought out the crowds, filling the market with vibrant energy. We enjoyed a delightful lunch of traditional German cuisine, including crispy pork knuckles and authentic sausages in freshly baked bread. The market, conveniently located near Marienplatz, offers a variety of goods, from fresh produce to ready-to-eat meals.

🕍 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙥𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙯
Our final stop was Marienplatz, the heart of Munich. Here, we admired the Glockenspiel clock tower and the golden statue of the Virgin Mary. The surrounding area is perfect for shopping, with numerous stores and malls.

This was our first visit to Munich, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. We marveled at the city's unique charm, savoured German delicacies and shopped for local products.

We have headed to Munich from Berlin after completing our successful mission at ITB2025. Before this major tourism fair, we were proud to have our article about " Accessible Thailand - Tourism For All " published on TourismWatch on February 28th.

It was a great opportunity for Nutty's Adventures to write for Germany's leading platform on sustainable and inclusive tourism. Our article, titled "Small Projects, Big Impact: Making Community Tourism in Thailand Accessible," focuses on how small changes can make tourism accessible for everyone, regardless of physical abilities.

The piece highlights real-world examples of community-based tourism projects in Thailand, highlighting the challenges and successes in improving accessibility. These projects, from building ramps to creating detailed wood carvings for visually impaired visitors, are making significant progress. By promoting inclusivity, we not only enhance travel experiences for people with disabilities but also strengthen host communities through equity and social cohesion.

𝙈𝙞𝙡𝙚𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙣𝙚𝙨
1. Met with Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra to report on the current state of inclusive tourism in Thailand. The Prime Minister recognized the importance and recommended continuous development.

2. Received policies from the Minister of Tourism and Sports, Sorawong Thienthong, to expand and develop projects related to inclusive tourism. These efforts will help promote Thailand as a destination for high-quality tourists who seek reassurance and enjoyment during their stay.

3. The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), with the Governor, Thapanee Kiatphaibool and Deputy Governors for Europe, America and Asia, Pacific, planned marketing strategies and promotions for inclusive tourism in collaboration with the Thai Travel Agents Association (ATTA).

4. The strategic and research-driven push by TSRI led by Prof.Dr.Chakraphan Suttirat, the Deputy Director, and experts like Prof.Dr.Pungpond Rukumnuaykit and Senior Specialist Assoc.Prof. Supawadee Photiyarach will continue research efforts extending, at least, over the next 2 years.

5. Discussed with the Director-General of the Department Of Tourism (DOT), H.E. Jaturon Phakdeewanich, to establish standards for tourist attractions, accommodations and services, ensuring Thailand's Tourism for All meets international standards.

The comprehensive approach to accessible tourism in Thailand promises to enhance the travel experience for everyone, reinforcing the nation's dedication to inclusivity and excellence.

The 13th Accessible Tourism Day takes place on the 5th of March at ITB2025 Berlin.

Leaders in the field of accessible tourism gathered to share insights, present lectures and participate in seminars. This event produced meaningful discussions and collaborations.

Today, the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in collaboration with Program Management Unit Competitiveness (PMUC) and Thailand Science Research and Innovation (TSRI), and inclusive tourism operator Nutty's Adventures, welcomed Mr. Ivor Ambrose, Managing Director of ENAT (European Network for Accessible Tourism), and Dr. Rüdiger Leidner, ENAT Board Member and Representative for Tourism at the German Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired (DBSV). They exchanged ideas and built networks to further develop accessible tourism in Thailand, in both terms of marketing and academic understanding for service providers.

With the cooperation of the private sector and government, supported by research from PMUC and TSRI, Thailand's inclusive tourism stands out on the world stage.

𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟯: 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮 𝘃𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘁𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗺𝗮𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲.

We, at Nutty's Adventures, had the honour of meeting Thailand's Minister of Tourism and Sports, Mr. Sorawong Thienthong, to discuss the future of accessible tourism in Thailand.

The highlight of the day was welcoming Kristy Durso, an entrepreneur, travel agent and disabilities advocate who owns and operates Incredible Memories Travel, a full-service travel agency specialising in special needs travel. She is a full-time wheelchair user and uses her own travel experiences to advocate for accessible travel. Kristy is also a featured speaker, sharing her insights and experiences on various platforms for collaborative opportunities in the US market, focusing on both the demand and supply sides of accessible tourism.

This has high potential to develop Tourism For All in Thailand. Additionally, we had many incredible meetings with people from around the world aiming to promote accessible travel in Thailand.

Cory Lee, a renowned wheelchair traveler, has earned accolades globally for his advocacy for accessible travel.

After exploring Bangkok and Ayutthaya, Cory's team traveled to U-Thong, Suphan Buri, for a community-based tourism experience. In Kanchanaburi, they visited World War II sites, including the Bridge over the River Kwai, and interacted with elephants at Baan C. Chang. Cory also enjoyed his first Thai massage.

Next, they visited Hua Hin, a famous resort town, where the highlight was touring Sam Roi Yot National Park, which exceeded Cory's expectations with its accessible trails.

Cory's journey showcased that obstacles can't deter determined travelers. With good planning and knowledgeable support, memorable experiences are possible. One notable moment was when Cory wanted to try McDonald's on Khao San Road, despite a 45-degree ramp. The team ensured he enjoyed his meal.

"The key" is the right attitude from travelers, service providers, and hosts. Cory's travels in Thailand are far from over, with more exciting trips ahead.

Cory Lee Urhahn has been a wheelchair traveler since the age of four. He advocates for accessible travel for everyone.

Cory is the founder of the travel blog for wheelchair users, "Curb Free with Cory Lee." His blog features a variety of content on wheelchair-accessible travel, including guides to accessible tourist spots, suitable hotels, and travel tips.

Cory has traveled to various places worldwide, including this trip to Thailand with his mother and close friend, organized and facilitated by Nutty's Adventures.

The team meticulously explored their destinations, contributing to a research project in collaboration with several organizations. Key supporters included the Science Research and Innovation (TSRI) , and the Program Management Unit Competitiveness (PMUC).

Various activities and attractions provided travelers with impressive and authentic experiences, learning about Thai traditions, ways of life, and culture.

During this trip, after arriving in Bangkok, they visited significant sites such as the Grand Palace. However, Cory was eager to experience the local ambiance and had long heard of Khao San Road. So, one of the highlights of Bangkok was experiencing the youthful vibe of Khao San Road.

The following day, the team traveled to Ayutthaya Province. They visited well-prepared historical sites, making it accessible for travelers of all physical conditions to see and appreciate the grandeur of the ancient Ayutthaya Kingdom. Preparations included ramps, well-equipped restrooms, and restaurants with ramps and wheelchair-accessible restrooms.

One highlight of this trip was when Cory contacted our team, expressing his desire for an authentic Sak Yant tattoo experience, which is rare in big cities. It wasn't just for aesthetics but had a story. A friend decided to get the ancient "Five Buddha" Sak Yant at Wat Jom Khot. Believe it or not, this group of travelers spent a lot of time researching before arriving in Thailand.
