Isan, or the northeast of Thailand, is home to Green Gecko and this region has just been listed by TIME magazine amongst the 'World's Greatest Places' for 2023.

The selected places were chosen based on sustainability and authenticity, and with an eye to destinations offering new and exciting experiences. Isan was also chosen for its unique and delicious cuisine, with Time noting that this year, the Michelin Guide awarded 33 Bib Gourmand designations across the region.

Our major renovation of Green Gecko is now complete. Works included both invisible factors such as the new 100 kva transformer, and visible elements such as extensive work on the wooden deck and pool.
