Currently one week into our kitesurf holiday in France! Our original plan was to stay in Leucate and kite there for several days. Unfortunately, the forecast showed no wind at all for at least a week.
So we tried our luck at Beauduc, a beautiful kitesurf spot near Marseille. I don’t know how, but we somehow ended up kiting on a quiet stretch of beach all by ourselves, and after just a few minutes Tobias’s kite got a leak…
So we drove to Marseille and headed to Le Jaï. Once again, we ended up at a spot with far fewer people than the one we had originally planned to ride. Not necessarily a bad thing, but the launch area was terrible and full of seaweed. It was only a short session, but by pure coincidence a photographer was there and captured some great shots. Thanks Châteauneuf-les-Martigues for this!
Luckily, we had an amazing day today exploring Marseille, and now we’re ready to head back to Leucate because the forecast is finally looking promising. Fingers crossed! 🤞
