« Aujourd’hui, c’est mon 89e anniversaire.
Je m’appelle Joseph et je suis assis ici, dans une maison de retraite, avec une assiette de raviolis devant moi. Je ne sais pas qui m’a préparé ces raviolis, ni qui me souhaitera un joyeux anniversaire aujourd’hui. J’ai trois enfants, mais je ne les ai pas vus depuis longtemps. Ils m’ont amené ici en me disant que c’était pour mon bien, mais le temps passe et le téléphone ne sonne pas.
Je ne suis pas en colère, je suis triste.
Triste parce qu’au fond de mon cœur, je n’ai jamais cessé de les aimer, malgré leur absence. Triste parce que je ne demande pas grand-chose : juste un câlin, un mot, un « Joyeux anniversaire, papa ».
J’aimerais juste que quelqu’un se souvienne de moi aujourd’hui.
