Khao Yai and Beyond Khaoyaiandbeyond trekking tours Deaw is local to the area and is a fully licensed guide, experienced in guiding tours through the National Park.

Our aim is to give tourists a chance to get off the well beaten track in Thailand and have a few days(or more) enjoying local life. For those looking for something a bit more strenuous, we offer a 3 day/2 night trek through the remoter parts of the Khao Yai National Park. An equally important aim with our trekking tours, is to help local populations who live in villages bordering the park. The trackers, who will accompany Deaw and guests on the treks, all have detailed knowledge of the surrounds and wildlife. Some of them have previously been hunters and poachers who are now looking to make a living preserving the wildlife instead of hunting it. It is our hope that, if they have an investment in preservation of this incredible area, they will become the best protectors of it. As we are only a couple of hours away from Bangkok, but a lifetime away in experience, we offer a unique and accessible twist to your holiday in Thailand. All for extremely affordable prices.

One of Wild Cat species in Khao Yai
☆☆☆ The Marbled Cat: A Rare Reserved Animal of the Thai Forests ☆☆☆ 🇹🇭
Among the various wildcats and felids found in Thailand, the Marbled Cat (Pardofelis marmorata) stands out as one of the rarest and most striking. With its uniquely distinctive appearance, this reserved species has become a vital treasure of the Thai forests that demands serious protection.

The Marbled Cat is a medium-sized wildcat, similar in size to a domestic cat, but with a body perfectly adapted for an agile life high up in the trees.

The Stunning Coat: Its most striking feature is the large black spots and marbled patterns flowing across its body, closely resembling the texture of "marble." This pattern contrasts beautifully with its yellowish-brown or reddish-brown fur, providing flawless camouflage among the branches and shadows of the rainforest.

The Extraordinary Tail: They possess an exceptionally long, thick, and bushy tail, which acts as a crucial balancing pole while climbing and navigating high tree branches.

Nighttime Hunters: As nocturnal creatures, they have large, well-developed eyes that grant them sharper and more precise vision than many other predators. This allows them to easily spot small prey, such as birds or small mammals, in the pitch darkness.

⛰️ Habitat: Marbled Cats typically inhabit highly pristine tropical rainforests. In Thailand, they can occasionally be found along the Tenasserim Hills and extending down through the forests of the Southern region. They require dense forest canopies and large trees for hunting and hiding
