Sunrise wetland action for Zuttilak and her Bangkok gang. They got chased away the evening before by a nasty storm, so replaced that failed sunset by this glorious sunrise.-

Rainy season? Where? Sunset sesh at the wetlands, between showers. Even managed to stay dry. Need a bit more rain though to bring that water level up a notch. Not much sun in that sunset, but still magical, with plenty of dramatic background colours.

recap. Great clinic by .araki the current World Champ. Very fast paddler obviously, and yet a very humble and grounded kid. He and his dad coach have a plan, and they are 100% focused on it. Learnt a lot of finer tips. Hard to believe - and a scary thought- but I might be even faster from now on… Then the 15km race. A first proper Sup race for Bridget who managed to finish, in spite of seasickness and zero training (too busy at school). In the meantime Mom took the opportunity to win her age category. Overall an awesome outing, in spite of the heavy rain that hit the venue as soon as the racing was over. We’ll be back.

15km race, in family formation for the Boura’s. Finished just on time to see the skies open up monsoon style. Great race for all, and great Sup community gathering (it’s always fun to see those regular faces). Some big names out there for this inaugural edition, from Japan, Hungary, Korea, Taiwan, and Thailand’s crème de la crème. Crossed Rai and Daniel on their way back to the finish, going at it full throttle. May managed to win her age group, and Bridget, in the Open category, grittily overcame a bout of seasickness. Definitely a race to put on our regular annual calendar. See you next year !

Sup clinic with this Shuri kid from Okinawa and his dad/coach. Discussed cadence and edged turns. Very quick learner. He might even turn up to become a world champion one day if he keeps it up…. Tomorrow is race day at the . Keep Paddling.
