The Similan Islands of Thailand are nine pristine islands and one of the top diving destinations in

Similan Islands means Nine Islands in Yawi, which is the native tongue of the area. In 2014 the National Park expanded its area and the two islands Koh Bon and Koh Tachai where placed under its protection. The Similan Islands are located in the Andaman Sea on the West Coast of Southern Thailand, in Lam Kaen, Thai Mueang District, Phang-nga to be exact.

Today we mark the foundation date of the Mu Ko Similan Islands National Park, which is now 34 years old. Thank you all for visiting and helping to protect the environment in our beautiful national park.

Take note; that the Similan Islands are closed for tourist between 15th May and 15th October to preserve nature. Between this periode nature is able to recover from any ecological damage caused by tourism. This way we can preserve the our pristine Similan Islands and welcome tourist again in October.
