Thailand Ends 60-Day Visa-Free Stay

The Thai government has officially abolished the 60-day visa-free entry scheme for tourists from 93 countries. The new rules will take effect **15 days after publication in the Royal Gazette**.

Key Changes
- **Visa-Free 30 Days**: 54 countries (including EU, UK, US, Canada, Australia, Japan, Korea).
- **Visa-Free 15 Days**: Seychelles, Maldives, Mauritius.
- **Visa on Arrival**: Reduced from 31 countries to 4 (Azerbaijan, Belarus, Serbia, India).
- **Bilateral Agreements**:
- 14 days: Myanmar (air only), Cambodia.
- 30 days: China, Hong Kong, Macao, Laos, Mongolia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Timor-Leste, Vietnam.
- 90 days: Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Peru, South Korea.

สำหรับผู้ที่ทำงานในบริษัทต่างชาติที่มี Representative Office ในประเทศไทย สามารถยื่นขอวีซ่าและใบอนุญาตทำงานได้ภายใต้เงื่อนไขเฉพาะ ข้อดีคือไม่จำเป็นต้องลงทุนตั้งบริษัทใหม่ แต่ยังสามารถทำงานและพำนักในไทยได้อย่างถูกต้องตามกฎหมาย

📣 Important Update for Marriage and Retirement Visa Holders in Thailand
Bangkok Bank has introduced a new internal policy:
📌 To obtain a deposit certificate for visa extension, you must maintain the required funds for 4 full months:
– Marriage Visa: THB 400,000
– Retirement Visa: THB 800,000
📌 If funds have been held for less than 4 months, you must sign a consent form allowing the bank to freeze the amount for another 4 months.

❗️Note: Thai Immigration only requires a 2-month deposit period, but the bank’s stricter rule affects your ability to get the certificate—without it, your visa extension may be rejected.

✅ Options:
1. Transfer to another Thai bank (must show same-day in/out transfer proof)
2. Use a foreign bank branch in Thailand (must issue certificate and statement on the same day)
📌 Other banks haven’t adopted this freeze policy yet, but trends suggest tightening controls.

We recommend contacting your bank in advance to confirm current requirements.

อัปเดต: ผู้ถือวีซ่าแต่งงาน/เกษียณอายุในไทย

ธนาคารกรุงเทพออกนโยบายใหม่:
📌 ต้องมีเงินฝากครบ 400,000 (แต่งงาน) หรือ 800,000 บาท (เกษียณ) นาน 4 เดือน ก่อนออกใบรับรองเงินฝาก
📌 หากฝากไม่ครบ ต้องเซ็นยินยอมให้ “แช่แข็ง” เงินอีก 4 เดือน
❗️แม้ ตม. กำหนดแค่ 2 เดือน แต่ธนาคารมีสิทธิ์เพิ่มเงื่อนไข
ใบรับรองเงินฝากเป็นเอกสารสำคัญในการต่อวีซ่า—ถ้าไม่มี อาจถูกปฏิเสธ

✅ ทางเลือก:
1. ย้ายไปธนาคารอื่น (ต้องมีหลักฐานการโอนเข้า–ออกในวันเดียวกัน)
2. ใช้ธนาคารต่างประเทศในไทย (ต้องออกเอกสารในวันเดียวกัน)
📌 ธนาคารอื่นยังไม่ใช้เงื่อนไขนี้ แต่มีแนวโน้มเข้มงวดขึ้น

แนะนำให้ผู้ถือวีซ่าติดต่อธนาคารล่วงหน้าเพื่อเช็กนโยบายล่าสุด

✅ Good character with no criminal record
✅ Financial and professional stability
✅ Thai family ties and genuine integration into Thai society

Because answering questions today isn’t just about “responding well”—it’s about responding with impact. If all goes well, the next station is the official declaration as a Thai citizen in the Royal Gazette.
