RESERVATION OFFICER (INTERNATIONAL MARKETS) | BANGKOK
Tour East Thailand seeks a highly motivated team member with a positive attitude to join our reservation team.
As a Reservation Officer, your primary responsibility is to assist overseas tour operators, travel agents, and customers in planning and booking various travel arrangements such as hotels, transfers, daily tours, tailormade/special packages, etc. You must also acquire fare and schedule information, calculate travel costs, and ensure sales targets and profit goals are achieved. In the event of changes before or during the trip, you must arrange alternative booking arrangements.
It is also your responsibility to ensure that client complaints are resolved efficiently and amicably to maintain customer satisfaction.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Manage all enquiries and respond within the required time frame.
- Process the booking and make arrangements for transportation, hotel accommodation, transportation, excursions and other services with suppliers.
- Ensure timely amendments or cancellations of bookings.
- Work with the Finance Department to arrange pre-payment to hotels and suppliers.
- Communicate with the Finance Department and overseas agents to resolve discrepancies with invoices and payments.
- Be in contact with the company’s Sales Representatives to address client issues in the resort and respond to overdue complaints sent by agents.
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 2 years of experience working in a similar position
Good knowledge of the DMC reservation system – preferably Tourplan
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
Computer literate, Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
- Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment and work under pressure
- Flexibility to share department responsibilities across a small team while focusing on ongoing projects unique to your position.
