Phra Maha Chedi Phakdi Phrakat was built by the villagers to celebrate the 50th anniversary of His Majesty's accession to the throne.

- The top of the Chedi is Phra Maha Chedi containing the Buddha relic.

- The main part or Viharn is a 4-storey building with quadrilateral gables.

- The Phraya Nak King of Nagas staircase is located to the east.

- Inside the Viharn was the image of Buddha standing with his right hand at his side, placing his left hand in front of his chest to convey the prohibition which is called the Ham Kaen Chan posture.

- The walls are decorated with a "Stain glass" mural telling the story of Phra Maha Chanok which is very dazzling once the sun shines through the windows.

REQUIREMENTS FOR TRAVEL

Before you go
Pre-pay for your accommodation of at least 1 night in a SHA+ hotel which will include your RT-PCR test on arrival, an Antigen Test Kit for you to use on day 6-7 and your airport transfer
Obtain a Certificate of Entry (CoE)
This will be replaced by a Thailand Pass from 1 Nov, details to follow
Obtain health insurance with a minimum coverage of USD $50,000
The insurance value has been reduced from USD $100,000

The dreaded certificate of entry is on its way out, with the Thailand Pass set to replace the CoE for most - but not all - people on November 1.

Coral Cove is a tiny bay just south of Chaweng Noi, on the east coast of Koh Samui. It's one of the most highly recommended places to enjoy snorkelling on the island.
