AARON BAYANBAN CHOOSES FAMILY, EDUCATION OVER MANILA BASKETBALL.
In a heartfelt revelation during a TikTok Live, Aaron Bayanban shared that he was supposed to be in Manila on June 8 for a meeting with a collegiate program regarding his basketball future. However, plans changed following the tragic passing of close friend and teammate Rene Baterbonia.
Aaron admitted that the loss deeply affected him, leading him to decide against leaving home and instead remain close to his family during a difficult time.
With that decision came a new path. With Ateneo de Davao University (ADDU) allowing him to pursue an Engineering degree while continuing his education in Davao.
Sometimes, the biggest decisions aren't about basketball—they're about healing, family, and finding purpose beyond the game.
