Odoruhana is a hand-embroidered upcycling movement by Taichiro Watanabe. Last year, he relocated from Hokkaido to Isan. He works with discarded materials—clothing once mass-produced, consumed, and abandoned in Japan before finding their way to Thailand, as well as waste from everyday life—stitching new narratives into them through his life in Isan.
Mending is repairing worn clothing with thread. Traditionally, stitches hide or fix damage, but in this workshop, we take a new approach—cutting away the unnecessary and reinforcing garments with stitching. Bring your own garment. As you work, conversations unfold, transforming your piece into something.
