पनवेल-सायन मार्गावर पेट्रोल पंपासमोरील पुलावरून खाली उतरताना सुरक्षेसाठी लावलेले लोखंडी पत्रे भेदून मुरली कुटुंबीयांची मोटार पाण्यात बुडाली. पुणे येथून मुरली कुटुंबीय घरी परतत असताना हा अपघात घडला. पत्र्याच्या आवाजामुळे या मार्गावरून जाणाऱ्या रिक्षाचालकाने धाडसाने या मोटारीमधून मायलेकींना सुरक्षित पाण्याबाहेर काढले. या मुलाचे नाव विकी भोईर असे आहे. विकी हा ओवेपेठ गावात राहणारा असून तो खारघरमध्ये तीनआसनी रिक्षा चालवतो. ५० फूट खोल खाडीत या मायलेकी मोटारीबाहेर पडल्या. मात्र खाडीला भरतीचे उधाण आल्याने त्या पाण्यासोबत वाहत जात होत्या. विकीने पाण्यात उडी मारून शेजारची होडी घेऊन या मायलेकींपर्यंत पोहोचला. http://loksa.in/aSd116723

Resort destinations like Phuket and Koh Samui depend heavily on foreign investment, marketing their holiday villas and condominiums to second-home buyers from overseas. Both islands have seen a significant drop in sales volumes this year with international buyers remaining cautious in the wake of the political troubles in May and the rising baht.

“The number of foreigners buying Thai property as a second or retirement residence, or even for investment purposes, has seen a marked decline due to the country’s continued political uncertainty, dampened by the global financial crisis,” says Suphin Mechuchep, managing director at Jones Lang LaSalle, in a recent report on the state of Thailand's residential real estate sector.
