🌏 Internship with Impact: Meet My

What happens when an internship is more than just gaining work experience?

Meet My, our Data & Impact Analytics Intern from the National University of Singapore, who spent 10 weeks with the SiamRise Travel team.

During her time with us, My helped turn our data into something much more meaningful building an impact dashboard, developing a carbon tracking system, and helping us bring together tour expenses and operational data to make better decisions.

But for us, the impact goes beyond the systems she created.

It's about giving young people the opportunity to work on real challenges, share their ideas, and see how their skills can contribute to a more responsible and sustainable way of doing tourism. 🌱

Thank you, My, for being part of our journey and for leaving SiamRise with systems that will continue to support our work.

We hope your next journey takes you even further. 💙

💚 A Journey We'll Always Remember

For us, this journey reaffirmed something we have always believed at SiamRise Travel: travel has the power to create understanding.

When we spend time with local communities, we don't simply discover new destinations. we discover new ways of thinking, living, and caring for the world around us. Every conversation, shared meal, and experience reminds us that meaningful travel begins with curiosity, respect, and genuine human connection.

We're deeply grateful to the wonderful people of Mae Tha Organic, and to our friends at Tour Merng Tai and Andaman Discoveries, for welcoming us and sharing this inspiring experience.

If you're planning a trip to Chiang Mai and looking for something beyond the usual attractions, we warmly invite you to experience Organic Adventures Chiang Mai. You'll discover more than organic farms and beautiful forests, you'll meet inspiring people, learn from local wisdom, and see how community-based tourism can create lasting benefits for both visitors and local communities.

As a social enterprise, these are the journeys we're proud to share because they create positive impact for everyone involved.

Because the best journeys don't just change where we go.

They change how we see the world.

💚 A Reflection from Us

Every journey reminds us why we started SiamRise Travel.

Standing together at Mae Tha Organic, we weren't just visiting another destination, we were learning from a community that has chosen to live in harmony with nature for generations.

What touched us most wasn't only the organic farms or the beautiful forests. It was the people. Their belief that caring for the land means caring for one another. Their willingness to share knowledge, protect their community, and welcome visitors with open hearts.

As co-founders of SiamRise Travel, experiences like this continue to shape our purpose. We believe travel should do more than create memories. It should inspire new perspectives, strengthen local communities, and encourage us all to become more thoughtful travelers.

We left Mae Tha Organic feeling grateful, not only for the experiences we shared, but for the reminder that meaningful travel begins with listening, learning, and connecting with people whose everyday actions are creating a better future.

This is why we continue to do what we do.

🌿 A Moment of Wellness

Every meaningful journey deserves a moment to pause.

Before returning to Chiang Mai, we slowed down with one final experience, a traditional herbal foot soak prepared with locally grown medicinal plants.

As our feet rested in the warm herbal water, surrounded by the peaceful sounds of nature, it became clear that wellness isn't always found in luxury. Sometimes, it's found in the wisdom of local communities, the healing power of nature, and the simple act of slowing down.

It was the perfect ending to a day filled with learning, connection, and inspiration.

At SiamRise Travel, we believe meaningful travel isn't about rushing from one attraction to another. It's about creating space to reconnect with nature, with local communities, and with ourselves.

🏛️ Creative Cities Need More Than Creative Ideas

We were inspired to see Bangkok host the Thailand Creative Cities Network (TCCN) Forum 2026 at the historic Hua Lamphong Railway Station on August 6.

Organized by the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA), DASTA, and alliance partners under the theme “Creative Cities Connect: Connecting People • Culture • Creativity • Sustainability,” the forum brought together creative cities from Thailand and around the world to exchange ideas on how culture and creativity can contribute to sustainable urban development.

But for us at SiamRise Travel, one question keeps coming back:

How do we turn creative city development into something people can actually experience?

We believe the answer starts from the ground up.

Working with local communities to identify cultural assets, listen to local stories, co-create meaningful routes, and transform community knowledge into responsible tourism experiences is one way to connect people, culture, creativity, and sustainability in real life.

A creative city isn't only about beautiful places or big ideas. It's also about the people who keep its culture alive and creating opportunities for their knowledge, creativity, and stories to be valued.

As a social enterprise, this is where we see our role: helping communities connect their local assets with travelers in ways that create meaningful experiences and shared value.

🌱 Creative cities become truly sustainable when communities are part of creating them.

🍳 Cooking, Sharing, and Learning

Some of the best meals begin long before we sit down at the table.

Deep in the community forest, our outdoor kitchen was ready. Using seasonal vegetables, freshly picked herbs, and the eggs we had collected earlier, we joined local hosts to prepare simple Northern Thai dishes together.

There were no complicated recipes or professional cooking techniques, just fresh ingredients, traditional knowledge, and conversations that flowed as naturally as the cooking itself.

As we chopped, stirred, and shared stories, we were reminded that food is so much more than nourishment. It carries culture, preserves traditions, and creates connections between people from different backgrounds.

At SiamRise Travel, these are the moments we treasure most. As a social enterprise, we believe meaningful travel happens when communities become our teachers and every shared meal becomes an opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate local wisdom.

🌳 Walking Through a Living Forest

Some forests tell stories, not with words, but with every tree, stream, and footstep.

With baskets in hand, we joined local guides for a gentle walk through Mae Tha's community forest. This wasn't simply a nature walk. It was an opportunity to understand how people and forests can thrive together.

Along the trail, we learned how the community has spent decades restoring and protecting this landscape. Their efforts have created more than a healthy forest. they've safeguarded clean water, fertile soil, native plants, wild herbs, and the biodiversity that supports both wildlife and local livelihoods.

Walking beneath the forest canopy, it became clear that conservation is most successful when local communities become its guardians.

At SiamRise Travel, we believe journeys like this help us see nature differently, not as something separate from us, but as something we all have a role in protecting.

🌿 Back again at Sustrends 2027 by The Cloud!

Once again, the SiamRise Travel team had the pleasure of joining this inspiring gathering of people who care about creating a better future for Thailand.

We’re always impressed by the thought and care behind Sustrends from inspiring speakers and creative booths to the incredible volunteer network and thoughtful waste management throughout the event. It’s a great reminder that Thailand’s sustainability movement continues to grow through the energy and commitment of many people.

For us, Sustrends is more than an event. It’s a reunion with like minded friends, a chance to reconnect, exchange ideas, learn from one another, and recharge our passion for keeping things moving forward.

At SiamRise Travel, we know that making tourism more responsible isn’t always easy. So we try to start with what we love and what we do best: creating meaningful travel experiences that connect people with local communities and contribute to the places we visit.

We believe positive change doesn’t happen all at once.

It happens step by step, through many small actions and people moving in the same direction.

So, let’s keep moving forward together. 💚🌏
