Brilliant night food tour of Bangkok

What a wonderful tour seeing bangkok by night and tasting amazing food.

Our guide, Amp, was lovely and informative about the different types of Thai cuisine, what locals eat regularly and stories about the different areas within Bangkok.

The tour consisted of around 10 people in a group. We are a family of 3 adults and shared a tuk tuk together on the way to the different restaurants/ food stalls. The departure point was easy to find, and we were whatsapp’d beforehand photos of where to meet.

The food was delicious and really enjoyed exploring more Thai cuisine which I probably wouldn’t have done on my own. They ask about allergies and levels of spiciness beforehand. My favourite was the fries rice noodle with chicken. We went to spots in Bangkok that locals eat at and I wouldn’t have found easily by myself.

There was plenty of food - more than a meal for me but I managed to find room for the sweet treats in China Town- coconut pancakes and Thai crispy pancakes yum!

It was also great seeing the flower market at night and finishing the tour on a rooftop bar opposite Wat Arun with stunning views of the temple.

Would highly recommend!

Lively “taste” of diverse Thai cuisines and culture!
This tour is a lively way to get a “taste” of diverse Thai cuisines and culture, figuratively and literally. It was well organized with clear communication beforehand. Our guide, Mae, was friendly and attentive. Zipping all around town in the tuktuk was itself a fun experience.

We made six stops starting with three sit-down restaurants offering several small plates at each: Isaan cuisine including papaya and corn salads, minced duck, and sliced pork; a fruit store in Wang Mai serving pomelo salad with shrimp and fried onions, mango sticky rice, rose apple, and mangosteen; and Chinatown for stir-fried noodles with chicken. We then stopped by a street stall for desserts like khanom buang (crispy pancakes) and khanom thian (coconut pudding) before going to the 24-hour flower market—a vast spectacle of color and activity, even after dark. We finished with drinks at a rooftop bar with a spectacular view of a lit-up Wat Arun. We were plenty full from the food and appreciated being able to see so many parts of town. In short, would highly recommend!

What’s a honest feedback from our value guest! 😭❤️ >>> Whan, our guide was excellent, very clear communication, a fountain of knowledge and very helpful - she clearly knows her stuff and talked about more than just food, giving us a insight into the local culture; I’ve been to Thailand a number of times previously and discovered things that I hadn’t known about after many backpacking trips.

We arrived at a rooftop bar with superb views across the river of Wat Arun which was all lit up with lasers. This stop is usually at the end of the tour but Whan was keen for us see the drone light show over Wat Arun, so we went with her suggestion to slightly change the order of the tour so that we could take in the amazing light show with some ice-cold beers and great views.

At the end of the tour we were dropped back at our hotel, en route Whan pointed out places of interest.
Throughout the tour, Whan had been documenting our tour with photos and videos which she later provided via WhatsApp after we’d connected to our hotel wifi, along with loads of useful information for the rest of our stay in Bangkok, including transportation for getting around, recommended restaurants and other areas of Bangkok for great food and sightseeing.

Obviously I highly recommend Bangkok Food Tours and commend Whan for being an excellent guide. The tuk-tuk made for a great experience and getting around easily, and despite being jet-lagged and not acclimatised to the heat (phew), we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and highly recommend it, especially to anyone with limited time in Bangkok.
