An early on visit to the blooming season has it own payback by offering a quiet national park, noone els on the trail, no queue and beautiful flower blooming at the right time.

📍 Wild Siam Tulip Trip
🗓 Saturday, 13 June 2026
🌸 Pha Hin Ngam National Park, Chaiyaphum

Despite the long journey from Bangkok, a little preparation went a long way. With carefully selected music, headphones, neck pillows, and a few hours of sleep in the van, the early wake-up call felt well worth it once we arrived at the flower fields.

Did you know that the Siamese tulip is not actually a tulip? It belongs to the ginger family, and its true flowers are cleverly hidden beneath the vibrant pink bracts that many people mistake for petals. Blooming during the rainy season, this remarkable plant has earned the title “Queen of Rain and Fog.”

The cool weather, rolling grasslands, and endless fields of pink blossoms made for a truly memorable day in nature.

🌸 Our next flower adventure will be on Sunday, 28 June.
Book your seat and join us for another beautiful journey!

Forget what you know about the rainy season.

At Pha Hin Ngam National Park, rain transforms the landscape into a sea of green, dotted with thousands of pink Siam Tulips stretching across mist-covered hills. Every year, this brief season creates one of Thailand's most unique natural displays.

Come explore the flower fields with us, breathe in the fresh mountain air, and enjoy easy walks through some of the most beautiful scenery the green season has to offer.

The flower season only lasts a few months each year. Skip the crowded beaches and tourist hotspots, and discover a destination that feels completely different—wild, refreshing, and unforgettable.

Some caterpillars survive not by hiding… but by becoming part of the forest itself.

This tiny caterpillar has evolved to look almost exactly like a dry twig — from its color and texture to the way it moves slowly like a branch swaying in the wind. In the wild, this camouflage helps protect it from birds and predators that hunt by sight.

Nature in Thailand’s forests is full of small details like this. Sometimes the most fascinating wildlife is not the biggest animal, but the one you almost walked past without noticing.

Next time you hike through the forest, look closely. The forest is always watching quietly back at us.

Last weekend, we escaped the city and headed to Koh Larn, a small tropical island located just off the coast of Pattaya. Only around 2–3 hours from Bangkok including the ferry ride, Koh Lan has become one of the most popular beach destinations for both Thai people and travelers looking for a quick island getaway.

The water was crystal clear, shifting between turquoise and deep blue under the bright summer skies. Every beach looked like a postcard, with soft white sand, gentle waves, and sunshine all day long. Koh Lan is one of those places that reminds you how beautiful Thailand really is — simple island life, fresh sea breeze, and the kind of view that makes you forget about the busy city for a while.

What made this trip even more special for us at Bangkok Hiking wasn’t only the island itself, but the experience we shared together. We explored hidden viewpoints, hiked up the hills around the island, learned more about the local culture and community, and spent the weekend making new friendships along the way. Sometimes the best part of traveling isn’t only the destination, but the people and memories you bring home with you.

If you only visit one waterfall in Thailand, make it Erawan Waterfall. Located in Erawan National Park, Erawan is famous for its seven levels of turquoise pools surrounded by tropical forest. Unlike many waterfalls that slow down during dry season, Erawan stays beautiful throughout the year — making it one of the best summer escapes near Bangkok.

The water gets its stunning blue color from natural limestone in the stream, creating the crystal-clear pools that travelers from around the world come to see. Swimming here feels more like discovering a hidden paradise than visiting a normal waterfall.

We’re heading there this Saturday. If you want to escape the city and experience one of Thailand’s most iconic natural destinations, come join us!
