🙂 PlanToys Featured as a Case Study in Sustainable Practices at the 10th ITRA World Conference
PlanToys attended the 10th International Toy Research Association (ITRA) World Conference, held from August 5–7, 2026, at the University of Augsburg, Germany, and was represented by Nilobon Kijkrailas, Brand & Marketing Communication Manager. The conference brought together 115 presenters from 34 countries to exchange research and perspectives on toys and play.
Nilobon presented the abstract of a research paper co-authored with Apirom Kongkanan from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT), titled “Timeless Wood: How a Thai Wooden Toy Manufacturer Can Serve as a Model for Sustainable Design and Production.” The research presents PlanToys as a case study, exploring how our approach to wooden toy manufacturing can contribute to sustainable design and production.
Through exchanges with researchers, designers, and educators, the experience reinforced PlanToys’ belief that closer collaboration across research, education, design, and industry can help shape more meaningful, sustainable ways of playing.
Beyond the conference, the program included visits to Ravensburger, one of Europe’s leading puzzle and game manufacturers; the Augsburg Puppenkiste, a renowned German puppet theater; and toy-related sites in Nuremberg, offering new perspectives on toy design, play, and the history of play. 🤩

10th International Toy Research Association (ITRA) World Conference จัดขึ้นระหว่างวันที่ 5–7 สิงหาคม 2026 ณ University of Augsburg ประเทศเยอรมนี โดยมีคุณนิโลบล กิจไกรลาศ ผู้จัดการอาวุโสแผนกสื่อสารองค์กร เป็นตัวแทนเข้าร่วม โดยในงานนี้มีนักวิจัยและผู้นำเสนอผลงานเข้าร่วม 115 คน จาก 34 ประเทศ เพื่อนำเสนองานวิจัย และแลกเปลี่ยนมุมมองเกี่ยวกับของเล่นและการเล่นในหลากหลายมิติ
ภายในงาน คุณนิโลบลได้นำเสนอบทคัดย่อของงานวิจัยที่เขียนร่วมกับ อาจารย์ อภิรมย์ กงกะนันทน์ จากมหาวิทยาลัยเทคโนโลยีพระจอมเกล้าธนบุรี (KMUTT) ในหัวข้อ “Timeless Wood: How a Thai Wooden Toy Manufacturer Can Serve as a Model for Sustainable Design and Production” ที่ได้นำแปลนทอยส์มาเป็นกรณีศึกษา เพื่อสะท้อนแนวทางการผลิตของเล่นไม้ที่สามารถนำไปสู่มุมมองและแนวทางใหม่ ๆ ด้านการออกแบบและการผลิตอย่างยั่งยืน
ประสบการณ์และการแลกเปลี่ยนกับนักวิจัย นักออกแบบ และนักการศึกษา จากทั่วโลกครั้งนี้ เป็นโอกาสที่ทำให้เราเสามารถร่วมกันพัฒนาการเล่นให้มีความหมายและยั่งยืนยิ่งขึ้น
