This is the Thai street food restaurant on the 2nd floor of Emsphere in Bangkok. Walked passed several times without trying but decided to give it a go this time. It’s just opposite Thongsmith Hotpot. The food was surprisingly delicious and service was excellent. The kaprao moo krob, woonsen kung, beef tongue and bone marrow fried rice did not disappoint. Will go back to try other dishes.

Finally got to try the Kanom jeeb at Wat Yuan in Chinatown, Bangkok. This is the Thai version of siu mai, little gem nuggets of steamed pork dumplings. Came by several times but uncle was no where to be found, until this trip! Queue was short and we ordered quickly. Eaten with vinegar, it was so delicious! Will go back ag*in for sure.

Haven’t eaten here for sometime. Nai Mong Hoi Thod serves one of the best oyster omelettes in Bangkok. Located in Chinatown, it is opposite Wat Mangkorn station. Excellent fried rice as well as Orh Suan.

Puponfai & Zapponfai is now our go-to restaurant along Banthadthong Road. Their crabmeat fried rice and tomyum mama are excellent! Their seafood are fresh and meat dishes are tender and well-marinated. Prices are reasonable and service is very good. One of our favourite eateries in Bangkok.

Our favourite Thai wanton mee in Bangkok. We usually frequent this outlet in Banthadthong. The bamee or wanton noodles are cooked to perfection. Well blanched and the roasted meats are excellent. Love the fried rice as well. They have several outlets in Bangkok.

Kuay Jub 3 Wan, a push cart stall along Soi Phiphaksa 1, opposite a cafe called baanphiphaksa. We had coffee in Baan Phiphaksa and saw the stall preparing to open for business. We waited about 10 minutes before walking across to try the Kuay jub. It was excellent! The rice rolls was cooked perfectly and the ingredients were fresh while the peppery soup was just perfect. Wanted to try the herbal version but they did not have it that day. Truly one of the best Kuay jub in Bangkok.

Went for a short trip to Nakhon Patom, about an hour from Bangkok city. Chanced upon this restaurant and were so glad we did! The service and food were amazing. The dishes were more towards ancient Thai cooking and their chef was a former winner of Iron Chef Thailand. Judging from the excellent meal, we were not at all surprised. She was so friendly and we had a nice chat with her. She conducts cooking classes within the premises too. Worth the drive there. The Tom Khlong was one of the best I had and the Panang duck curry and Sinhala curry were out of this world. Whatever we ate after that were just anticlimactic.

Saw several posts about this place and wanted to try it. Usually love going to places served in a house as it reminds me of home cooked meals. Although I quite enjoyed the food here at GRUUN, in Sala Daeng, Bangkok, I was disappointed when they refused to give more gravy for their massaman g*i. What’s so difficult in granting our request? There was clearly insufficient curry for their massaman g*i roti and rice. Anyways, won’t be coming back anytime soon.
