Queen Sirikit, the mother of Thailand’s King Vajiralongkorn, has died aged 93.
She passed away “peacefully” in a Chulalongkorn hospital at 21:21 local time on Friday, according to the Thai Royal Household Bureau.

To all visitors,

The appropriate colors to wear while visiting Thailand during a period of mourning for Her Majesty Queen Sirikit are primarily black, with dark grey or white also being acceptable alternatives. It is best to avoid bright or flashy colors like pinks, reds, or oranges to show respect.
Acceptable colors.

Black: This is the most traditional and widely accepted color for mourning in Thailand, symbolizing grief and solemnity.
Dark grey or navy blue: These are appropriate alternatives if black is not available.

White: This is also considered acceptable, though less common than black.

Colors to avoid
Bright and flashy colors like pink, red, and orange.

Additional tips
Wear simple, conservative clothing: A simple, dark-colored dress or a dark shirt and pants are good options. Avoid overly casual or revealing clothing.
Consider wearing a black ribbon: If you cannot find black clothing, wearing a black ribbon on your clothing is a way to show respect.

Check local guidance: It is always a good idea to check for any specific guidance from local authorities or your accommodation, as recommendations can change.
