The official brochure is now available and you can pick one up from The JR Hokkaido Sapporo tourist information center at Sapporo station or many other places around Sapporo.

Sculptures at this years Sapporo snow festival are almost complete, skilfully sculpt by hand they are truely beautiful works of art.

The official start of the Sapporo snow festival will be on February 5th and continue until the 11th of February.

But you will be able to see the detail of their work up-close at the pre-openning on the afternoon of February 4th, the day before.

The temperatures have been low, so please take care and be prepared when you venture out to enjoy the festival and all the City of Sapporo has to offer.

apporo is especially famous for its ramen

Walking near Kiyomizudera

Kyoto is a great place to walk since the center of town is quite flat, the roads are built on a grid system which makes navigating easy and the road surfaces are good underfoot. As you get into the surrounding areas such as here near Kiyomizudera, the inclines are not too steep and the walk is relaxing.

Sometimes it is nice just to get out and enjoy the walk.
