Our explorations in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia have begun! In the morning we visited a number of Tibetan Buddhist temples that were quite striking. Mongolian lamb for lunch! Nearby our hotel was the main square of the city. Lots of displays today and show and tell by the military especially surveillance quadcopters which some might call drones.

Arriving in Xi'an, China to see the the 8th man made wonder of the world - The Terra Cotta Warriors, commissioned by the the first emperor of China, Emperor Qin. A special visit on arrival to the Terra Cotta figures of the 4th Han Emperor with smaller, yet more intimate figures. There is no end to the armies of figures by all the emperors after Qin!

After a day of city sights in Shanghai,we explore the nearby water city known as the Venice of China!

Welcome to Shanghai China! After a warm welcome from our local guide Yo-Yo and a good night of rest, and a fabulous buffet breakfast, we're off to explore the city! We started at a beautiful park in the French Concession area. Lots of seniors and families dancing, playing music, exercising, and saying hello! The spring flowers are popping up nicely, a little bit early for roses.

Then we visited the Shanghai Tower, the tallest in Asia, second only to the Burj Khalifa in Dubai.

After a nice lunch spinning the lazy susan and even enjoying Peking Duck, we went off to see Old Town which was mobbed with people.

We wrapped up the day on the riverfront which is the old European banking center with heritage buildings on one side, and beautiful modern architecture on the other!
