🛕 Coasting through Sri Satchanalai, a satellite city of the Sukhothai Kingdom known for its ancient pottery kilns and well-preserved temple ruins.

💦 Picking up the pace as we skirt along the edges of Ramkhamhaeng National Park, cycling through forested hills, peaceful secondary roads, and through sprawling rice paddies.

🚵‍♀️ Venturing into the plains of the Chao Phraya River with miles and miles of smooth tarmac to test your endurance crossing several central Thai provinces in a day.

🏛 Reaching the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ayutthaya, Siam’s former capital. Highlights include Wat Mahathat, famous for the Buddha head entwined in tree roots, the trio of stupas at Wat Si Sanphet, and the grand Hindu temple of Wat Chaiwatthanaram.

🏞️ Skirting along the southwestern tip of Calima Lake, a vast reservoir with sparkling waters surrounded by lush hillslopes.

⛰️ Riding into the lower Andes, with amazing views of the sugarcane-draped Cauca valley below and the towering ridgelines of the Western Cordillera above.

🍇 Visiting the municipality of La Unión, dotted with boutique vineyards and one of the key centres of Colombia’s emerging wine industry.

☕️ Ascending into “Eje Cafetero”, the UNESCO World Heritage inscribed Coffee Cultural Landscape of Colombia – the hilly home of the smooth Arabica beans that have shaped Colombia’s economy, culture, and global identity for over 150 years.

🏘️ Reaching the Andean town of Salento, located at nearly 2,000 metres ASL, known as the gateway to the dreamy Cocora Valley.

🥾 Off the bikes, we hike into the Cocora Valley, one of Colombia’s most iconic natural treasures and home to the towering wax palms – the tallest palm species in the world.

𝙉𝙤𝙧𝙩𝙝 𝙏𝙝𝙖𝙞𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙗𝙮 𝘽𝙞𝙠𝙚, one of our longest-running Thai biking adventures, has a fantastic new look! Now recalibrated as an "Active" level trip, you’ll uncover the gems of northern Thailand without overly challenging mountain climbs or technical singletracks. From Chiang Mai to our finish on the Mekong River at the Laos border, it's the ideal cycling holiday to see the sights, venture off the beaten path, unwind in beautiful settings, and indulge in tasty Thai cuisine. Here’s what to expect:

🌾Explore the countryside surrounding Chiang Mai, riding along the peaceful Ping River and through a vast expanse of rice paddies as far as the eye can see.

🪨 Ride a loop in the Chiang Dao Valley, home to Thailand’s third tallest mountain, and visit an intriguing cave complex with impressive stalagmites and many revered Buddha images.

🍊Cycle through the Fang Valley, passing its lychee farms and orange groves, to reach a tranquil riverside hotel near the town of Tha Ton in the far north of Thailand.

🌳Follow the Mae Kok River through a jungle-clad valley dotted with hilltribe villages to reach the iconic White Temple outside of Chiang Rai.

🍜Spend a day off the saddle in Chiang Rai to indulge in amazing street food or leisurely shopping at the bustling Walking Street Market.

🏞️Cycle to the Golden Triangle - where the borders of Thailand, Myanmar, and Laos converge at the confluence of the Mekong River - and zip down the river by boat before exploring the ancient town of Chiang Saen.

🎉Ride beside the Mekong with gravelly detours into the surrounding hills draped by rubber trees and celebrate our adventure’s end with a farewell dinner in the small border town of Chiang Khong.

From Chiang Khong, you can then enter neighbouring Laos and make your way to the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Luang Prabang by cruise. Or head to the well-connected Chiang Rai airport for onward flights.
