From Donmuang airport to our place

Don Muang is the secondary airport in Bangkok and the main hub for low cost airline, both international and domestic flights. The easiest and quickest way to get to city center is via taxi.The taxi stand is located at the outer curb on Level 1.The fare rate based on meter plus 50 baht airport surcharge. A typical taxi fare from the airport to our place around 300-350 baht, not including expressway tolls and the 50 baht surcharge.
One may take the local train, just across a walkway from the airport. This will arrive to the Hua Lamphong railway station, The fare is very low, but it will cost a lot in time.

A great start to the day for most of us, let's focus on tradition Chinese breakfast : Congee is rice porridge, another name in Thai is "Joke". A soupy porridge made with rice, water, meat, vegetables and other ingredients to boost longevity, soothe the ill and strengthen digestive system.Highly recommend the best congee in China Town "Joke Jae Muaykia" located in Sukon 2 alley, just 2-3 minutes walk from our Light Space.

The cheapest and the easiest way to get to the LIGHTSPACE : Airport Rail Link + MRT Subway.
Airport Rail Link is an express train that connects you to city center of Bangkok. To come to our place, Hualamphong station is your destination
At airport, follow signs to SA train link ( in basement). Buy ticket for City Line to Makkasan.
At Makkasan, follow signs to MRT Phetchaburi station (subway train), a 5 minute transfer. Buy another ticket - line ends right next to entry to Hualampong Main Line railway station.
**Remark ** Airport and MRT trains run only 6 am to midnight.

Every morning from 6 am-8.30 am, our local communities are making merit or “Tak Bart“, a daily ritual practised by most Thai Buddhist which, in general, involves offering food, rice, drinking water and flowers to monks. The monks mostly are from Wat Traimit and Wat Mahaprutaram, and they walk right by Sukon alley and Trimit Road every morning.
All guests can prepare your own food to give to the monks or you can buy the set of food from the vendors around the alley and street. it's a great time to experience the traditional Buddhist activity whilst learning more about Thai culture.

The central railway station in Bangkok is named Hua Lamphong where all major lines originate here. The station is located on Rama 4 road, not far from China Town and around 10 minutes walk from our place. Many buses go there as does the Subway System (MRT), and most taxi drivers should know where it is.

It has 12 platforms and it is the starting point to explore by train, Northern Thailand, North-Eastern Thailand, Southern Thailand as well as Eastern Thailand.

Highly recommend one vintage food stall very near us (in Sukon1 alley) "Si Morakot" BBQ and crispy pork with rice. Serving "Khao Moo Dang" in Bangkok for more than 60 years, one of the best roasted pork rice in town, the secret ingredient is the thick, sweet and salty sauce unique to each chefs recipe,only THB40 per plate or THB48 with egg.
