🌕✨ Wishing You a Joyful Loy Krathong – November 5, 2025 🪷💫

Tonight, beneath the radiant full moon of the 12th lunar month, Thailand glows with light, reflection, and renewal. Loy Krathong, one of the country’s most enchanting festivals, invites us to float krathongs in honor of Phra Mae Khongkha, the Goddess of Water - a gesture of gratitude, release, and hope for the year ahead.

Rooted in the ancient Sukhothai era, this luminous tradition is especially magical in:
🏮 Chiang Mai – where sky lanterns rise in the Yi Peng Festival
🪷 Sukhothai – the birthplace of Loy Krathong
🌊 Bangkok – where the city shimmers with candlelight

On a number of our trips, our customers are lucky enough to visit , an ethical sanctuary in Northern Thailand, where elephants roam freely in their natural habitat - no riding, no bathing, no touching.

This amazing project is supported by through , helping shift the tourism industry toward kinder, more responsible wildlife experiences.

"In front of me, I can see misty mountains, plenty of palm trees and seemingly never-ending stretches of green vegetation, thanks to the rainy season. The stress of riding on busy roads isn’t a thing here – there’s barely anyone around. It’s just our host, Sao, our small group of travellers and a few local vans on the road heading to the nearby market."
