A quiet goodbye from RillFlow
After many seasons of living, working, and growing here, it’s time for us to say goodbye to this place.
The story starts from with my family slowly repaired and restored this old wooden house by hand — piece by piece. Floors, walls, bathrooms, wood, furniture, curtains — everything was renewed over the past two years with the intention of staying, not leaving. The house and garden have been continuously cared for, allowing life to unfold gently here: cooking, resting, hosting friends from many places, practicing yoga, sharing meals, or simply being.
This wooden house in the valley has held countless quiet days — mornings filled with soft light, afternoons slowed by trees and flowing water, nights where sleep came easily and deeply. It has always been more than a house. It was a rhythm, a way of living, a space that asked for nothing but presence.
This is also where LongGong, a rescued cat, found her home — moving between balconies, garden paths, and the nearby stream. Like many who passed through, she left her quiet mark on this place.
Surrounded by trees and water, with generous light and open air, it has always been a space that invites calm. A place especially kind to those who love nature, quiet mornings, slow days, and living a little closer to the land.
As my own path shifts, I no longer have the capacity to continue caring for this space in the way it deserves. Rather than letting it rush or harden, I hope to pass it on softly — to someone who truly enjoys and respects this way of living, and will allow the house to keep breathing.
If you’ve been here before, or if these words feel familiar, you may already understand this place.
Thank you for being part of this chapter.
And goodbye — for now.
