🌿 The road ran out. The forest kept going.

Plenty of Chiangmai's tarmac has passed under Nokky's
wheels. Never the jungle. Yesterday was the first time — and
the jungle, it turns out, is not the same sport.

Red clay, still soft from the night's rain. Deep ruts cut by
trucks. Roots that reach out and take your front wheel the
second you stop paying attention.

Nokky dropped it. Twice.

The first time: lying in the mud, laughing.
The second time: no laughing. Just one question — how much
further does this go?

But the bike goes back up. The bike always goes back up.

Then somewhere past the second climb, something shifted.
Shoulders came down. The front wheel stopped being something
to fight and became something to let move. The ruts stopped
being things to survive and turned into a line to read.

That's when it got fun.

Last stretch: up on the pegs, filthy to the knees, arms
burning, grinning inside the helmet.
