Responsible Tourism Alliance A non-commission based direct to market distribution system for small tourism businesses.

Travel4Good - Track of the Tiger & Volunteers Without Borders have collaborated in the development of a new non-commission based distribution system for the global small tourism business community. It aims to level the playing field in terms of ensuring direct market access to a much expanded range of special interest travel products not normally available to mainstream tourist visitors.

Since we've been gone, Travel4Good has gone through some massive changes - one of which is our name - we are now called the Responsible Tourism Alliance - an alliance of responsible tourists, businesses and local agents.

We have been working hard on developing new integrated solutions towards strengthening capacity for tourism and rural communities in and around Chiang Mai.

T4G would like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who attended out first FAM trip to visit local activity providers around our pilot Sanpatong tourist route yesterday in and effort to promote unique responsible tourism in Thailand. It was a full day but had some very positive outcomes. Here is a brief insight into the activities we visited. There will be more information to follow. Please 'Like our page to keep updated!

We will be running one day FAM trips along our newly established Sanpatong Tourist Route, showcasing a selection of 50+ activities/attractions that have signed up for its non-commission based distribution and marketing model in support of locally operated tourism SMEs and micro businesses.

There are spaces available on regular departures (2 per month) over the next 4 months - first departure May 24th 2014 from Chiang Mai.

The trip would be of interest to: (a) Travel writers/bloggers. (b ) NGO's - looking for support in addressing education, sustainable agriculture and employment
issues. © Academics - studying models for responsible and/or community based tourism development.
