I grew up in a Karen village and have worked as a tour guide for more than 5 years. You will learn about the traditional Karen tribal cooking, clothing, language, and anything else you want to know about my experience growing up in a remote tribe. During your tour you will visit a beautiful waterfall where you can swim and take beautiful photos. If you choose the 2 or 3-day tour, you will sleep in a Karen Hill Tribe village near the Myanmar border. At the village you will meet local villagers, hear their local language and see their unique traditional clothing. This tour is a rare opportunity to experience an authentic hill tribe village where there is no electricity or telephone service. Enjoy peaceful tranquility, disconnected from the outside world so that you can listen to the sounds of the wind through the trees and see millions of stars. You will be served delicious local meals, freshly prepared with organic rice grown by the villagers. Have fun on bamboo rafts down the Mae Tang River, sometimes fast and exciting, sometimes slow and peaceful. On the tour there is the possibility to bath with the elephants.
